Get more out of Evernote with FileThis:

With a few clicks, FileThis for Evernote turns your Evernote account into a full-blown digital filing cabinet. FileThis automatically fetches your online statements from your financial and household accounts such as banks, utilities, or even Amazon, and organizes them safely in your Evernote account.

  1. 1Make Evernote even more useful. The more you add, the more useful your Evernote account becomes. FileThis for Evernote automatically fetches your important documents and stores them in a central location for easy access.
  2. 2Tailored notebooks for all your statements and bills.FileThis puts your online documents in appropriate notebooks for each of your online accounts. FileThis even differentiates between multiple accounts from the same institution, such as checking, saving and home loan accounts.
  3. 3All your online documents – automatically tagged. With Evernote’s powerful tagging and notes engine, you can browse through your statements in no time. FileThis automatically tags every online statement and prepares them so you can get the most out of Evernote.
  4. 4Already Organized? Keep it that way.If you’ve already set up your own organizing system in Evernote, FileThis has you covered. You can rename and rearrange the notebook and notes, and FileThis will match your changes and file your statements in the correct locations.
  5. 5Searchable PDF files make life easy.FileThis delivers your documents as searchable PDF files, so you can take full advantage of Evernote’s text search capabilities. Searching statements and documents using words ensures that you always find what you’re looking for.
  6. 6Sort your statements by the dates that count.FileThis knows the difference between the different dates associated with a statement. What sounds like a small feature is actually a big deal: Now you can sort and find your statements, bills, and documents by their relevant dates rather than the dates they were created.

“Even once you’ve decided to go paperless, taking the time to go to each vendor’s site and download your e-bills and e-statements can be a real pain. FileThis Fetch solves this last-mile problem for you, and lets you decide where your statements and bills should live. One less thing for you to do.”

Evernote Productivity Ambassador, Joshua Zerkel, a FileThis user.

Connecting FileThis and Evernote:

Setting up FileThis for Evernote takes only a few minutes but the benefits are long lasting. If you don’t have a FileThis account, you can create one for free.

  1. After creating your FileThis Fetch account, choose Evernote as the destination and authorize FileThis Fetch to automatically deliver documents to your Evernote account.
  2. Then connect your household and financial accounts to FileThis. It’s as easy as providing your username and password, and it’s engineered with bank-level security. Click on the “Connections” tab and find your accounts in the “Add a Connection” list on the right side. Choose the institution from which you want to retrieve documents.
  3. Once an account is connected, FileThis retrieves all available documents and sends them directly to your Evernote account, where they are stored in a stack named FileThis. The stack is organized using notebooks for each account, and documents are named using the account and statement date. And since all documents are saved as searchable PDFs, finding anything is a breeze.
